Pasta is perhaps the most easiest of things to feed your little one but really it is all down tot he sauce you mix the pasta in to feed them.
I will be honest I have never made pasta sauce ever in my life for myself or anyone until Soraiya was born and here I was making pasta sauce from scratch just for her.
Not gonna lie, one of the best things I ever did because the recipe’s I came across meant that the pasta sauces were super tasty. Alhumdulilah she enjoyed them.
This was the 2nd pasta sauce I ever made and it really is tasty. It is creamy and is a great way to introduce baby to a different taste, smell and texture. Plus I never thought I would feed Soraiya mushrooms and mushrooms have nutritional benefits such as protein and fibre but also B vitamins and an antioxidant called Selenium.

|1/2 teaspoon of dried or fresh thyme|
|250 ml of milk|

- Add the mushrooms and fry for 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the flour and then add the milk, stirring until thickened. NOTE: if it dries out then add more milk and flour to balance it out.
- Add the thyme, cheese and spinach and stir until wilted.
Which kind of pasta to use?
Please note: always be with your baby when you feed them food, this is the case pasta to ensure that baby is safe to avoid any choking.
As baby gets to 1 years old, offering baby normal pasta such as penne and fuisilli is fine. During the boiling process I always over boil as I like the pasta really soft so its is easy for Soraiya to eat. And this means I feel assured she can eat them with ease
Can be frozen
What is great about this is you can batch cook a large amount and freeze for future use. Simply take out to defrost at room temperature 3 hours before meal time. Microwave and mix in with cooled, boiled pasta and voila. Lunch/dinner is served
